Aluminum Coils – Flexible, Lightweight & Easy to Fabricate
We supply aluminum coils in plain mill finish, color-coated, embossed, and anodized types. Used in roofing, facades, signs, ductwork, and packaging. Full range of thickness and grades.
What Is Aluminum Coil?
Aluminum coil is rolled aluminum sheet wound into a continuous coil, ideal for further fabrication such as cutting, stamping, bending, and coating.
Available Finishes:
Mill Finish – raw, smooth finish for general use
Color Coated (PE/PVDF) – RAL painted for decoration or roofing
Anodized Coil – corrosion-resistant and decorative
Embossed (Stucco or Diamond) – for decorative or anti-slip use
Aluminum Foil Coil – for HVAC, packaging, insulation
We provide slit-to-width service, ideal for converter factories or fabricators.

Performance Characteristics and Applications of Aluminum Coils
I. Performance Characteristics
1. Lightweight and High Strength
The density of aluminum coils is only 2.7 g/cm³, about one-third that of steel, significantly reducing material weight. Through alloying (such as adding elements like magnesium and chromium), its strength can be significantly improved; some aluminum alloys can achieve a tensile strength of 400-500 MPa, suitable for high-load applications.
2. Corrosion Resistance
Aluminum naturally forms a dense oxide film on its surface, effectively resisting corrosion from the atmosphere, seawater, and chemical media, extending its service life. Especially in marine environments, models such as 5052 aluminum coils perform exceptionally well.
3. Thermal and Electrical Conductivity
Aluminum has a thermal conductivity of 138 W/(m·K), second only to silver and copper, and three times that of iron. While its electrical conductivity is slightly lower than copper, its lighter density allows it to replace copper wires in electrical transmission to reduce weight.
4. Processing and Ductility
Aluminum coils exhibit excellent ductility, allowing them to be cold-rolled into foils thinner than 0.01 mm, or processed into complex profiles through extrusion, stamping, and other processes. They also possess good weldability, supporting various joining methods such as argon arc welding.
5. Environmental Friendliness and Recyclability
Aluminum is 100% recyclable, and the recycling process has low energy consumption, meeting the requirements of sustainable development.
II. Main Applications
1. Transportation Sector
Automotive Manufacturing: 5052 aluminum coils are used in body panels and radiators to reduce weight and improve fuel efficiency.
Aerospace: Aluminum alloys account for 70% of aircraft structures, used in key components such as fuselages and wings.
Shipbuilding: Large passenger ships use thousands of tons of aluminum, balancing lightweight design with resistance to seawater corrosion.
2. Construction and Decoration
Exterior Walls and Curtain Walls: Aluminum coils are used to make honeycomb panels and decorative panels, combining aesthetics and durability.
Interior Decoration: Good sound absorption properties make it suitable for ceilings, broadcasting rooms, and other acoustically sensitive areas.
3. Packaging and Daily Necessities
Food Packaging: Aluminum foil is used in cans and lunch boxes to block oxygen and light, extending shelf life.
Electronic Products: Heat sinks, cables, etc., utilize its thermal and electrical conductivity.
4. Industrial Equipment
Chemical Containers: Its corrosion resistance makes it suitable for reactors, pipelines, etc.
Energy Equipment: Solar panel brackets, heat sinks, etc., rely on its lightweight and thermal conductivity advantages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What’s the difference between mill finish and color coated coil?
A:
Mill finish is untreated aluminum; color coated coils have a painted surface layer for improved durability and appearance.
Q2: Can you match custom colors for my project?
A:
Yes, we support RAL, Pantone, or custom color matching with test samples before production.
Q3: Do you provide small coil weights for trial or machines?
A:
Yes. We can supply coils from 100kg to 3000kg depending on your slitting width and application.
Q4: What are your color coating systems?
A:
PE for economy and indoor use, PVDF for high durability and outdoor exposure.
Q5: Do you supply embossed or stucco aluminum coils?
A:
Yes. We offer stucco embossed, diamond pattern, and orange peel textures.
