SUH616 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel with nickel and chromium as the primary alloying elements. Its typical chemical composition includes nickel (Ni) 8%-10%, chromium (Cr) 16%-18%, manganese (Mn) 1%-2%, silicon (Si) 0.5%-1%, and carbon (C) ≤0.08%. This composition imparts excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance, enabling it to maintain stable performance even in high-temperature environments.

1.2 Physical and Mechanical Properties

Physical Properties: Density approximately 8.0 g/cm³, melting point between 1425°C and 1450°C, and excellent stability under high-temperature conditions.

Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength ≥520 MPa, yield strength ≥210 MPa, elongation ≥40%. Furthermore, the material exhibits excellent plasticity and weldability, facilitating the fabrication and assembly of complex shapes.

1.3 Special Processing Properties

Through high-temperature solution heat treatment (heating to a high temperature followed by rapid cooling), SUH616 eliminates internal stresses, significantly improving creep and oxidation resistance, while also increasing yield strength and tensile strength. Its excellent weldability makes it suitable for various processes, including argon arc welding and laser welding.
