I. Performance Characteristics

Corrosion Resistance: Designed to withstand sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, and mixed acids, with a corrosion rate of ≤0.05 mm/year (concentrated sulfuric acid).

Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength ≥620 MPa, elongation ≥30%, hardness ≤HB 200, combining lightweight design (density 8.08 g/cm³) with high strength.

Stability: Austenitic structure and niobium inhibit intergranular corrosion. Operating temperature range -50°C to 200°C. Thermal conductivity 12.5 W/(m·K).

II. Core Applications

Chemical Industry: Sulfuric acid concentrators, phosphoric acid reactors, nitric acid purification towers.

Pharmaceutical Industry: Organic synthesis reactors, high-purity chemical liquid transfer pumps (resistant to acetic acid/hydrochloric acid mixtures).

Energy: Desalination pipelines, nuclear power plant heat exchangers (resistant to chloride ion stress corrosion).

‌III. Expanded Applications‌

Food processing pickling tanks, offshore platform components, and petrochemical acid storage tanks.

Frequently Asked Questions

‌Q‌1: Can N08020 be used in hydrochloric acid?

A‌: Limited to dilute HCl; concentrated HCl requires alternative alloys‌.

A‌: Not required due to low carbon content‌.

A: Suitable for brackish water but not recommended for full marine exposure due to limited pitting resistance‌.

A: Recommended for ≤50°C in sulfuric acid; mechanical properties remain stable up to 800°C (short-term exposure)‌.
